Samodiva is a cross-disciplinary music and art project. It’s an alias project by the Bulgarian-born Germany-based artist Apostolka Polia Christov. She draws on nature, art, technology and the sciences to build sensory environments that create the conditions for human presence and connection, spaces where complexity is felt rather than argued.
Her debut release Moments of Awareness I The Noosphere, created in collaboration with musician Alexander Shirokov arrived April 2026. Ambient, textured and organic, it maps the threshold between inner stillness and collective consciousness, a fitting first statement from an artist who has spent years building the conditions for that kind of experience.
For more than a decade she performed as Pool, a DJ project rooted in European clubs and festivals. Her foundation runs deeper into years of formal training in Bulgarian folklore music encompassing instrument, voice and choreography. Alongside that she worked professionally as a lighting designer, dj and software developer, learning how to build systems and live experiences. Sculpture, photography, videography, mixed media and visual art have always run in parallel.
